Elevator Pitch No. 2
The feedback that I received with my first Elevator Pitch was incredibly mixed. While a lot of people love the idea of Metropolis, Gainesville's newest mall, some have concerns. Some of the feedback I received that was concerning was that people were not sure if Metropolis could thrive here. This is kind of disheartening, as a project of this magnitude requires community support, because it might need taxpayer dollars to fund some of it. That definitely stood out to me the most. This could be problematic, which is why I kind of tailored the new elevator pitch as a campaign video rather than a generic advertisement. I definitely want this project to have community support overall, so it is my responsibility to convince the citizens of Gainesville that Metropolis will greatly benefit them.

Jared, you did a great job on your elevator pitch! I really enjoyed watching your video. I can see how some people may have some problems with your idea, however I think your idea is great. You’re right that you’ll have to convince most of the citizens to start the project. The city of Gainesville is growing and would definitely thrive even more with a new mall.
ReplyDeleteHi Jared,
ReplyDeleteI didn't see your first elevator pitch so I can't speculate on any improvements you might have made. Based on this pitch, I do have some feedback. As for the positives I love, the idea of Metropolis, the introduction into your pitch and the transitions that you used throughout the pitch, and it was a nice touch with the background inspirational music. As for the room for improvement, you used the word 'support' a lot but you didn't hit your P's and Q's which are the what, why, and how; how could they show their support. Other than that, nice work!
